Men

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13)

Christ chose twelve men for the groundwork of His great commission. What qualified these men as messengers of the faith? Nothing! They were working-class, not well known, uneducated men. Galileans, commoners, nobodies! They had no status or label that made them stand out. But our Lord selected them, and solely through His grace changed them into foundation stones of His church.
God chose Ordinary Men.
