Life Spring Elders

The Elders of Life Spring serve as the overseers of the church. These men meet the qualifications for elders as spelled out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1,and they set an example of servant-leadership within the body of Christ.

Paul Sterrett

Pastor

The SterrettsPaul is the founding pastor of Life Spring Church. He and his wife, Kim, have a daughter, Kacie, who is a student at Johnson County Community College.

Clif Hooper

Worship & Creative Arts

The Hoopers Clif was born in Atlanta, Ga and moved to Houston, TX area when he was 12. He came to know Christ at age 13. Clif has always been passionate about music and particularly church music, playing for church choirs, soloists, small groups, school choirs since high school. Upon graduating from Houston Baptist University, Clif met Lisa and married in 1982. Clif's son, Austin (working for CitiVision Ministries in New York) was born in Katy, TX in 1984. Clif's daughter, Hayley (a Junior at Baylor University) was also born in Katy, TX. Clif and Lisa moved to Overland Park in 1996, joined Olathe Bible Church and became involved as a ministry elder over Worship and Creative Arts. Clif and Lisa moved to Paola in 2006 and have been a part of Life Spring since the start.

David Schnose

Growth Team Leader

The Schnoses David has been married for thirty years to Eileen. They have three grown children (Jonathan, Katherine and Joshua). David and Eileen have served in three churches before attending Life Spring most recently 26 years with Olathe Bible Church. While at OBC, he served on the elder board, taught Adult Bible Studies, led small groups, served as the church treasurer and have been privileged to go on four mission trips including the opportunity to teach at the Minsk Bible College. David states: "The apostle Paul writing to the Philippians states: 'whatever was to my profit I now consider loss... I consider them rubbish', any success that I have experienced in restaurant ownership and the insurance industry has no eternal value". David's desire is for each of us to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, to learn how to think through scripture for ourselves, to apply the scripture in our lives and bring glory to His name.

Greg Martin

Community Team Leader

The Martins Greg and Kim have been married for twenty eight years. They have three grown children (Katy, Jeff and Kris). Greg accepted Christ at age 17 at an Evangelical Free Church Camp in Nebraska. Greg is the owner of an independent commercial insurance claims adjustment company. Greg's ministry focus is on small groups and mens and womens ministries of which he has been a source of leadership in these areas for many years.

Ryan Meek

Impact Team Leader

The Meeks Ryan is a lifelong resident of Spring Hill and an avid Royals fan. He and his wife, Joanna, are charter members of Life Spring Church, and the very proud parents of their daughter, Lily. At the age of six, Ryan came to know Christ as his Savior. He graduated from Spring Hill High School in 2000, and Pittsburg State University in 2004 with a Construction Engineering degree. Ryan works for JE Dunn Construction, and Joanna is a stay at home mom as well as the financial assistant for Life Spring. The Impact ministry, which Ryan oversees, is responsible for reaching out into the community, and sharing the Gospel, through service and events.

Tim Meek

Missions Team Leader

The MeeksTim is a lifelong resident of Spring Hill. He attended Spring Hill Schools where he met his wife Sharon. They were married in 1980. They have two grown children, Ryan Meek who is married to Joanna and Rachel who is married to Justin Kroh. Tim and Sharon are grandparents to a beautiful granddaughter Lily. Tim is Director of Buildings and Grounds for the Spring Hill Public Schools where he has been employed for over 20 years. Sharon is a Branch Manager for Teambank. His love for travel has been a natural outlet for missions. Seeing people in all lands that have a need for a Savior, seeing beautiful church buildings that are no more than museums or places to perform ceremonies are a major part of his passion for seeing Christ's Great Commission put to work in our world today.

Paul Sowers

Administration Team Leader

The Sowers Paul is a lifelong resident of Spring Hill and attended Spring Hill Schools. Paul graduated from Kansas State University majoring in Animal Science with BS and MS degrees. Paul made a personal decision to accept Jesus as his savior in the third grade. Paul has been married to Diana for 25 years and they have both been blessed with three children. All three of Paul's children have accepted Jesus as their saviour. Paul's family has been active in the Life Spring Church since the first organizational meetings. The primary ministry passion Paul has is getting to know people and letting them know how delighted he is that they attended Life Spring to worship Christ.
