Capital Campaign
Establishing Our Roots
In October, 2007, Life Spring began a capital campaign around the theme of "Establishing Our Roots" with the goal of raising up to $600,000 over the next three years for the purchase of land for a permanent home for our congregation. Although we had been looking for land for nearly a year, it was in the last month before the Capital Campaign was to get started that God led us to 35 acres of land on the west side of US 169 Highway, around 211th Street.
During a six week period starting in early October, Life Spring's leadership laid out their vision for God's work in the Spring Hill community, including the desire to purchase land and construct our own facilities. On November 11th, the Life Spring congregation made pledges of nearly $450,000 to be fulfilled over the next three years for the purchase of the land. On Commitment Sunday, November 18th, almost $50,000 was given towards those pledges.
In February, 2008, God allowed us to close the deal to purchase the land He had given us. Although there are no immediate plans to begin construction, it is our firm conviction that God will open the doors for us to construct the facilities of Life Spring Church in the very near future.

Where did the theme "Establishing Our Roots" come from?
This theme expresses the desire of our leadership to consider the capital campaign as a part of the larger issue of becoming more firmly rooted in our community. Buying land and building a building conveys the sense that we are here for the long haul. Top
Will the amount of our pledges be confidential?
Yes. Only our treasurer and office manager will have access to information about the amount of individual pledges. These people need access for record-keeping purposes. Top
How can I make my commitment?
Commitment cards are available at the Welcome Center. Complete a card and drop it in the offering basket or send to the Life Spring office at PO Box 554, Spring Hill, KS 66083. Top
Why are you encouraging the use of offering envelopes?
This is being done for record-keeping purposes. This will insure that offerings intended for the capital campaign will be credited to the campaign, rather than for the general fund. If you don't use an envelope, then you need to specify on your check that your offering is for the capital campaign. Top
Why shouldn't I just divert some of my regular giving to meet my capital campaign pledge?
The church has approved a very conservative general fund budget in light of the fact that we knew we would be asking for sacrificial giving for the capital campaign. If general fund offerings decline, we will have to make cuts to key ministries like Children's Ministry, Life Group Ministry, Youth Ministry and others. Top
